At Elegant Earth we understand how hard it can be to find a rustic wedding venue that is as functional as it is beautiful. So you can imagine how ecstatic we were when we discovered Lions Garden near Tofield, Alberta.

We immediately made an appointment to see the venue. The owners, Rene and Klaske, greeted us warmly and began to show us around the property. The stunning grounds include a most charming ceremony space complete with wooden benches, an alter, and wagon wheels along with acres of trees, flowers, and water features. The reception space is a stunning, brand new barn that is set towards the back of the property at the end of a long drive.

When we stepped into the barn we were speechless. It’s incredible. The main floor includes a bar, huge sliding doors along the entire length of the wall, a platform for the head table or DJ, and two giant crystal chandeliers.

The icing on the top of this cake,though, is the gorgeous dressing room on the second floor. The bridal party will find an antique vanity, lux furniture and a barn window. The perfect place for bridal party grooming, photos, and quieter moments.

We got right to work getting ourselves in contact with our favourite wedding creatives. From there, we let our biggest fantasies fly and well… Just have a look.
