In November Elegant Earth, along with Ellerslie Roofing, held a Winter Benefit Gala for Syrian refugees suffering overseas.  The Winter themed Gala took place at the beautiful Matrix Hotel in downtown Edmonton. $4465 was raised for The Canadian Red Cross through ticket sales, personal donations, a silent auction, and a dessert auction sponsored by Cake Affair. The dessert auction turned out to be awesomely fun (and delicious) raising over $1000.

We also had Graham Thomson talk to us about his experience with Syrian refugees overseas. His words and photos gave us a view into the daily lives of Syrian refugees fleeing the violence in Syria. Learning about how Syrians have had their lives and homes taken away from them helped shed light on how important it is for us to send them as much support as possible. Thank you to everyone who attended the Winter Fundraiser Gala, volunteered, and gave to the cause.
